Applications open for 2024 Women in Renewables Scholarships
The Clean Energy Council has announced that applications for the 2024 Women in Renewables Scholarships are now open.
The Women in Renewables Scholarships have been instrumental in helping many emerging and current women leaders advance their careers in the renewable energy sector and beyond. Employees of Clean Energy Council member organisations can find out how these fully funded scholarships can support their professional development.
In memory of the late Chloe Munro AO, the opportunity for emerging and mid-level women leaders to participate in one of two courses is being provided by Women & Leadership Australia: the seven-month Executive Ready course for middle to senior leaders, and the four-month Leading Edge program for early career leaders and managers.
The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) scholarship, now in its seventh year, supports women in undertaking the Foundations of Directorship course. This scholarship helps recipients continue shaping the sector and advance their careers.
The Women in Renewables program is also offering a part-time internship opportunity for those interested in the clean energy sector. The intern will assist with tasks such as collating and reviewing scholarship applications, supporting program initiatives, and providing secretariat support for the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Working Group. This includes coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes. The internship lasts for three months, starting in August/September, with a commitment of two days per week, including one day of remote work and one day at the Melbourne CBD office.
The program strongly encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. The application deadline is Wednesday, 14 August 2024.
