Australian and Singaporean green collaborators invited to apply for second funding round of Go-Green Co-Innovation Program
This initiative provides an opportunity for Australian SMEs to engage in green innovation projects with Singapore, fostering trade and commerce in the green sector of both nations.
The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) have launched the second round of the Go-Green Co-Innovation Program (GGCIP).
Australian SMEs can apply for grants ranging from AUD $150k to AUD $500k, with the total available funding amounting to AUD $7.5m. Applications must be submitted online in collaboration with a Singapore business partner.
This initiative stems from the Singapore-Australia Green Economy Agreement (GEA), signed on 18 October 2022 by Senator the Hon Don Farrell, Australian Minister for Trade and Tourism, and Gan Kim Yong, Singapore Minister for Trade and Industry.
The GGCIP is designed to promote collaboration between Australian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and Singapore businesses on projects aimed at reducing carbon emissions and supporting the transition to net-zero emissions for both countries. The program aims to enhance trade and commercial activities in the environmental goods and services sectors across Australia and Singapore.
The GGCIP is jointly administered by DFAT and EnterpriseSG. DFAT will manage the grants provided by the Australian government to eligible Australian SMEs, while EnterpriseSG will oversee the grants offered by the Singapore government to support eligible Singapore companies partnering with Australian SMEs.
