State Government launches NSW Innovation Blueprint Survey: have your say
The NSW Government has collaborated with industry leaders, universities, and experts to craft a blueprint aimed at propelling innovation our state, and are seeking your input.
Highlighting the urgent need for transformative measures, the NSW Innovation and Productivity Council’s 2023 Accelerating NSW report found stagnation in university-industry collaboration and commercialization outcomes, coupled with a concerning decline in research and development (R&D) intensity.
The response is the NSW Innovation Blueprint, drafted alongside sector leaders and experts to give the state the leading edge in the global battle to attract new investment, ideas, industries, and talent.
The Blueprint charts a course for NSW to lead the charge in emerging technologies such as quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing. With a keen eye on bolstering economic growth across sectors including energy, healthcare, and agrifood, the blueprint heralds a new era of opportunity for innovators and entrepreneurs alike.
Investment NSW, the driving force behind the blueprint, is calling upon innovators to lend their expertise and insights.
To help this crucial dialogue, Investment NSW has launched a comprehensive survey, inviting innovators to share their thoughts on key areas such as idea generation, investment opportunities, industrialization strategies, and international market penetration.
The survey, accompanied by a detailed discussion paper, supplies a platform for stakeholders to articulate their priorities, address challenges, and seize opportunities. The deadline for submissions set for March 25, 2024.
