Port of Newcastle to host May NewH2 Knowledge Exchange Series event

On the back of the upcoming World Hydrogen Summit being held in Rotterdam early May, you’re invited to a free NewH2 Knowledge Exchange session hosted by the Port of Newcastle on May 24.
Hear about the latest international trends in hydrogen from the Port of Newcastle’s Clean Energy Team, including details of the signing of a Global Partnership in Hydrogen Innovation with the Port of Rotterdam’s Platform Zero.
Justine Ulph/ Simon Byrnes from the Port of Newcastle will describe the opportunity to join a growing list of prestigious universities, ports and innovation hubs, of which University of Newcastle NIER, NewH2 and Hunternet are founding signatories. Hear about what this collaboration opportunity represents for the region.
You will also hear from Warwick Dawson, Pro Vice Chancellor, Industry and Engagement at the University of Newcastle. Warwick will provide an update on opportunities to collaborate with the University, including two major initiatives underway – the Trailblazer for Recycling and Clean Energy and the NSW Decarbonisation Innovation Hub.
Warwick Dawson commenced in January at the University of Newcastle as the inaugural Pro Vice Chancellor, Industry and Engagement and within this role, Warwick has oversight of engagement with investors, industry, government and end user R&D collaborators with the ambition to strengthen and scale the translation of research to deliver social and economic impact for the region and beyond.
