The Production of Powerfuels at Scale
This session is part of The Australian Net Zero and Circular Economy Conference featuring nearly thirty events for academics, startups, government, and industry
The speakers will address the challenges facing Australia and the world in scaling up the production of powerfuels (hydrogen in particular) to satisfy the exponentially increasing demand required to achieve net-zero-carbon targets. Australia has the additional challenge of positioning itself as a hydrogen superpower and a major exporter of hydrogen or its derivates.
Speakers:
Prof. Michael Brear, Director of the Melbourne Energy Institute, University of Melbourne, presenting The Net Zero Australia Project.
Prof. Rose Amal, Scientia Professor and ARC Laureate Fellow in the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of New South Wales, presenting Challenges in the Production of Powerfuels at Scale.
