HRDS Technologies are partnering with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) for a Cooperative Research Centre Projects (CRC-P) bid due on the 16th November. The scope of the project is to 1) develop a hydrogen hybrid for use in medium-duty trucking applications and to 2) benchmark the performance of the prototype. A hydraulic hybrid platform will be retrofitted to a truck based on the Regenodrive system developed by HRDS Technologies in previously funded research and development projects. In addition, an internal combustion engine (ICE) compatible with hydrogen will replace the existing ICE. At this stage HRDS Technologies and UTS are interested to partner with experts in hydrogen and automotive product development for this potential project.
